 Nutcracker the Musical
the classic tale of bravery, and sacrifice at Keller Auditorium
One Christmas Eve, Clara Stahlbaum and her family were celebrating the holidays. Herr Drosselmeyer comes in and gives away tons of presents to almost all kids - except for Clara. Disappointed, Clara runs to her mother and cries over not receiving a gift.
Drosselmeyer then gives her a toy nutcracker in the shape of a soldier. Fritz - Clara's brother is jealous of this and breaks the nutcracker, prompting Drosselmeyer to fix the toy.
At midnight, Clara dreams of shrinking to miniscule size and being chased by mice. The nutcracker then comes to life and he and his band of toy soldiers drive the mice away.
Clara and the nutcracker (who is transformed into a prince) then go to a world of dancing snowflakes and fairies.
After all the dancing, Clara wakes up under the Christmas tree with the nutcracker in her arms. Was it all just a dream?
